We are excited to announce that our Community Based Facilitators and Field Extension Officers Under the National Oilseed Project – NOSP have today commenced an intensive training on Farmer Field School Methodology and Business Skills Management at Eneku Training Village in Soroti City.
The training, which has started today, will run until 12th March 2026, equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to better support farmers in the field.
In his welcome remarks, the Team Lead of the National Oil Seed Project (NOSP) at SOCADIDO, David Oruka, welcomed the participants and emphasized that the training program is well-packed and requires full attention and active participation. He noted that the objective of the training is to strengthen the capacity of facilitators and extension officers to effectively support farmers and ensure the success of the project in the communities they serve.
He encouraged participants to actively engage in the sessions, ask relevant questions, and take full advantage of the opportunity so that they return to the field fully equipped to drive positive change and improve agricultural productivity among farmers.
This training marks another important step in strengthening farmer support systems and promoting sustainable agricultural development across the Teso sub-region.
